Mental Health Peer Services of Greater Fort Worth was created around a simple idea: people deserve support from others who truly understand.
At MHPS, we believe lived experience matters. Our groups are led by trained and certified peer professionals who bring not only knowledge and skills, but also their own experience with mental health challenges, recovery, and neurodivergence.
We know it can be difficult to reach out for support, especially when you are worried about being judged or misunderstood. That is why we work to create spaces where people can show up as they are.
Our free peer support groups give adults a place to connect and share with others who have similar experiences. Some people come ready to talk. Others prefer to listen quietly, use the chat, or take time to feel comfortable. All of those ways of participating are welcome.
MHPS is not therapy or clinical treatment.
We are a peer-led community built on mutual respect and the belief that no one should have to face difficult experiences alone.
We currently offer support for adults experiencing mental health and recovery challenges, as well as groups for autistic, neurodivergent, and intellectually or developmentally disabled adults.
As we continue to grow, we hope to create even more opportunities for connection throughout Greater Fort Worth.
Most importantly, we want every person who finds MHPS to know this:
